PROJECT OVERVIEW

Campmaster

Project objectives are:

  • Fulfilling the pre-conditions for accreditation of the joint Master programme on Sustainable camping resort management and setting the stage for the roll out of the programme
  • Development of a structured cooperation between teachers, camping industry professionals and students on the framework of competences and on preparation and researching of the best practice case studies in the camping industry
  • Setting up of an internship scheme including training of mentors who will work directly with interns, thereby creating a culture of talent pipeline management in the European camping industry
  • Implementation of the new teaching and assessment methods in higher education
  • Defining sustainable management in the industry through dialogue about sustainability and influence in creating a „new benchmark“ for the industry
  • Improvement of the academic partners competences in the area of modern and innovative teaching concepts and methods such as student-centred learning, research design learning and design thinking and in the area of drafting and the assessment of learning outcomes
  • Overall increase in the level of internationalisation of processes, teaching and research at participation universities as well as improved language skills of all participants
  • Indirectly, increase in the overall camping sector competitiveness.

RESULTS

Outputs

Upon completion, the project will result in four intellectual outputs, developed based on a strong cooperation between camping industry stakeholders, university teachers and students,

in order to create direct links between the camping sector and higher education.
